TVA dam
Chickamauga Dam
Where Chickamauga Lake begins at Chattanooga.
TVA completed Chickamauga Dam in 1940: 129 feet high, 5,800 feet across the Tennessee River, creating the 36,200-acre lake that runs upstream to the foot of Watts Bar Dam.
The dam marks the boundary between lake and city: ramps and bank access sit just upstream, while downstream the river bends into downtown Chattanooga and the Riverwalk.

Thinking about a move?
From “just looking” to “we’re ready,” the first step is the same: a real conversation with someone who knows these lakes.
