The county
Knox County
Knoxville's county, at the head of the river system.
The corridor's biggest population center: Knoxville and Farragut on Fort Loudoun Lake, the University of Tennessee, and the employment base that many lake-country households commute toward.

The lay of the land
What it’s like here.
Knox is where the Tennessee River system starts feeling urban; the Holston and French Broad join above Knoxville, and Fort Loudoun Lake carries the river past downtown, the university, and Farragut's west-side neighborhoods.
For corridor buyers the county is usually the jobs-and-amenities pole: UT, the hospital systems, Turkey Creek retail, and the flight schedule. The lake country an hour southwest is where the same paycheck buys shoreline. Ivey's specialty is that trade.

On the water
-
Fort Loudoun Lake
The river's first reservoir runs straight through the county: rowing lanes downtown, cove neighborhoods west toward Concord.
-
Concord Park & The Cove
Farragut's lakefront park anchors the west-county water scene: trails, ramps, and calm-water paddling.
-
Downstream to Watts Bar
Lock through Fort Loudoun Dam and the corridor's big water opens up. It is the boater's route to Ivey's home lake.
